Port of Ashburton

The Dampier Port Authority was overseeing the development of a multi-user port and strategic industrial area at Ashburton North, near Onslow. This development would accommodate LNG and other hydrocarbon based processing and natural gas processing for Western Australia’s domestic gas supply.

As part of this development, construction on the Wheatstone Project began in late 2011. The Chevron-led project included a two-train, 8.9 Mtpa LNG facility and a separate domestic gas plant.

PRDW was tasked with reviewing the construction applications for the various components associated with the Wheatstone Project’s small craft harbour, breakwater, dredging and materials offloading facility (MOF).
