PRDW’s scope of work included the following:
Existing Quay (Berth 1):
- Preparation of specification for dive survey and geotechnical investigation (jet probes) for Berth 1
- Technical input during site investigation (including site supervision)
- Evaluation of existing quay wall for deepening (including Plaxis modelling)
- Development of concepts and preparation of performance specification for a solution to extend the existing cope line seawards
- Dredging study to assess the dredging requirements for deepening of the existing berth
- Conditions assessments and recommendations for refurbishment of the existing quay structure
Berth 2 Quay Structure:
- Revise previously developed structural layout for new quay position
- Develop concepts for tie-in to existing berth
- Structural modelling and analysis of Berth 2 quay structure
- Design of concrete superstructure and piled substructure
- Preparation of FEL2 level drawings
Procurement Process:
- Preparation of tender documentation for the marine works
- Technical input during tender process, including tender adjudication
- Preparation of updated cost estimate for the marine works
