Eden Island is located on the eastern side of Mahé Island in the Seychelles and was created several years ago through the dredging and reclamation of surrounding coral reefs. The development of Eden Island includes several yacht basins within the island perimeter with residential and hotel developments fronting on to the marinas. The outer perimeter of the island was softened by incorporating a series of contained beaches on the island perimeter.
